FutureScot’s analysis of the 2025 SQA results shows girls achieved higher A–C rates than boys in Computing Science at both Higher and National 5. However, the gender gap in participation remains, so widening access should stay on the improvement agenda.
- Higher CS: 81.2% A–C (girls) vs 73.9% (boys); A grades 48.4% vs 40.5%.
