SETTING OUTLOOK UP ON AN iPHONE OR iPAD
Microsoft has to authenticate your password, so you have to change it 24 hours before in Glow before you complete the setup below.
These instructions work with an iPad with no problems, but sometimes with an iPhone you will get a message saying your password is incorrect. Please follow all of the instructions below, regardless of whether you see an error message or not.
Go to Settings – Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Choose Add account
Choose Other (Do not choose Microsoft Exchange, it will sync your phone to Microsoft!)
Choose Add Mail Account
Settings
Name: “enter name”
E-mail: “enter your current username”@glow.sch.uk ( Please note different ending)
Password: Your password
Description: Name you want the account displayed on your phone as
Eg. Outlook or Work Mail
Choose Next
On New Account page you should use IMAP settings
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: pod51007.outlook.com
User name: “enter your current username”@glow.sch.uk ( Please note you need ending)
Password: Your password
Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: pod51007.outlook.com
User name: “enter your current username”@glow.sch.uk ( Please note you need ending)
Password: Your password
Choose Next
iPhone should verify account. You may get a message saying your password is wrong. If you do, continue with the set up and Save
Once you have set up the account, select your new account from the list in settings
Under Outgoing Mail Server select the pod51007.outlook.com
Select this again under Primary Server
Ensure Use SSL is switched to ON
Select Done
Select Account
Select Done
