Just noticed this one the other day: Microsoft are giving away Expression Web for free now, as they are shifting HTML5 development into Visual Studio products.
I’m not experienced at using it, but it seems to offer very similar features to Adobe Dreamweaver, is HTML5/CSS3 compliant so fairly future-proof, and would be a good intro to HTML and website design for students. Fantastic for those who can’t get dreamweaver – just need to persuade the council IT folks to install it now!
