I am working on materials for Nat 5 Info Systems unit and in the arrangements it mentions “security protocols and firewalls”.I am assuming this means things like SSL? Does anyone have any information how much pupils need to know?

Also it mentions “use of security suites” is this Norton, McAfee Total Protection etc?

Hi Stephen, This was in the old Information Systems Internet option unit. So that would be my first place of reference to see how much depth that covered and go for a similar approach. From what i can remember nothing too detailed.

I also took security suites to mean Norton etc. Nice to see someone else thinking along the same lines 🙂
