Coursework marking payment

Would anyone happen to know when the payment for the coursework marking is due to be paid? I was rather hoping it would be in this months wage but that’s certainly not the case for myself.

I got my payment last month, but it’s handled by the Local Authority so it’ll depend.

Yeah I also received my payment last month

My colleagues and I received part of the payment last month – unfortunately it was at the old rate so quite a bit less than we expected. I notice it’s not in this month’s pay so I’d imagine that it will arrive in approximately 6 months time and it will be twice as much as it should be! Or will it ever arrive…. Thankfully, being a full time teacher, money is never an issue – I’m used to not having any. Hope you get your payment soon.

Could somebody tell me the correct rate for each of N5, Higher and AH coursework?

Internally assessed projects and assignments – teacher payments
    Dear Colleague
On 21 March 2017, we communicated the introduction of a payment in four technical subjects for teachers who have internally assessed projects or assignments that contribute to a candidate’s final course award, and have done so in their own time.
Following feedback and further consultation with stakeholders regarding the time it might take to assess the final coursework, we have revised the rates of payment. The new rates are noted in the table below.

The process and form for requesting payment remains unchanged. The EX110 claim form, available on SQA Connect, should be completed by the head of department or teacher responsible for the course(s) concerned, countersigned by your head of centre, and sent to your local authority. If your centre has already submitted EX110 forms to your local authority, please ensure that your forms are updated to reflect the new rates and resubmitted to your local authority.
The Notes on the Submission of Form EX110 have been updated to include the new rates of payment. All other guidance remains unchanged. Please ensure that the EX110 form is completed in line with this guidance and returned to your local authority no later than 2 October 2017. Please note that we will be unable to accept requests for payment from centres directly.
As previously communicated, your local authority will use the information provided on your centre’s EX110 form(s) to request payment from us. Payment will be made to your local authority who will administer the payments to the relevant staff.
A further document – Arrangements for internally assessed components of course assessment (IACCAs) 2017 – has also been published on SQA Connect. This document sets out the methodology and approach to the marking of coursework that is expected of centres, and is in line with our Understanding Standards materials.
Please forward this information to your head of centre and all teaching staff concerned.
If you have any queries about the EX110 form or accompanying guidance, please contact us on 0345 213 6766 or e-mail nqverification@sqa.org.uk

    Hopefully that helps!

I also haven’t been paid for coursework marking despite submitting the form on time. Also just noticed that the 12 practice and seeded scripts that I marked for National 5 which took an inordinate amount of time and effort haven’t been included in my payment (first time this has happened in my experience), really annoyed about this. Are we being taken for mugs?

Just before we broke up for summer I emailed our schools business manager about the coursework pay and she emailed payroll on my behalf. She had signed off the forms and sent them in on time for me to receive the payment in my June wage but some reason payroll haven’t processed them.

I’m going to nip in tomorrow to see if I can get access to my payslip for next week. Hopefully I’ll get it in this months pay though it would have been far more handy if it had been paid at the end of June as we’re off on holiday this coming Saturday.
