STEM teachers: STEM Engagement and CLPL at Heriot-Watt University
Dear colleagues
We want to invite you to our STEM teachers conference on Wednesday 27th April 2022. Held at our Edinburgh campus the event aims to look at how we can improve STEM Engagement with high school pupils across all year groups, focussing particularly on S1-S3.
There will be an opportunity for you to gain CLPL experience in your own subject area, and a chance to talk through some of our most exciting research projects and how they can fit into your curriculum. We will also provide you with materials for you to take back to your classes.
We also want to encourage discussion around engagement in the STEM subjects so would value your participation in the event. We want to develop ways to improve engagement collaboratively whilst supporting you as teachers in your delivery and, importantly, not adding to your workload.
Lunch will be provided so you don’t need to bring anything with you. You can register your interest here.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch – wp@hw.ac.uk.
Regards
Tracey and Sam
