    PRACTICAL CPD FOR PYTHON PROGRAMMING

This one-day course is designed for secondary school Computing teachers, to boost confidence in delivering the programming elements of National 5, Higher & (if relevant) Advanced Higher Computing.

Ideal for teachers currently using a different programming language and wish to make the switch to Python, or for those who simply want to upgrade their existing skills.

This course will take place in person at New College Lanarkshire’s Motherwell Campus on Tuesday 5th of April, from 9am to 4pm.

A short amount of preparatory and reflection work will also be required.

If you are interested in attending, please contact computinglink@nclan.ac.uk for more details by Friday 18th March.

    Dear Sir/Madam

I am looking to register for the free Python Programming, CPD course to be held on Tuesday 05 Aril 2022 and would appreciate any further details on how I can register for it.

My name is Stephen Johnstone and I am currently teaching Computing Science at Inverkeithing High School.

I have not currently done any Python programming, but we are thinking of maybe using it rather than using Visual Basic, which we currently use.

This has also been the first time in many a year that I have taught Higher Computing Science, so I am definitely looking to improve on how I deliver that so this course would be very beneficial to me.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards

    Stephen LD Johnstone
