We have a set of google nexus tablets which we use with app inventor 2. Pupils just create the apps and then scan the QR code using the companion app on the tablets. It is now working on the majority of the tablets but with a remaining few I keep getting the error message:

Error 1101: Unable to get a response with the specified url:

One pupil tried to scan the code on his own android phone and got the same error. Has anyone else come across this? I was originally getting it on many of the tablets but for no obvious reason they suddenly started to work.

I’ve not encountered this on my Nexus tablets, but the WiFi is spotty in my room so we usually just use the USB debugging.

Thanks for the reply. It’s very odd. Overall AppInventor 2 seems a lot less buggy than the first version though.
