One area I’m interested in exemplifying for this project is mobile app development. I think it’s something that’s really current and students will latch on to.

Does anyone have experience of delivering this in the classroom? If so, I’d be keen to hear your views about it and how it went.

We do this at Firrhill. It’s part of our enhanced curriculum for S2, and we have a club of seniors who meet once a week at lunch to work on an app. 

We are developing apps for the iPhone. We mainly get the pupils to develop webpages that can be used within the app. If you search for “make an app” in the app store you will find a fantastic app that has all the information you will need to get started.
