I’m needing a bit of advice.

Currently battling with our technician to get easyPHP set up on our network but it’s taking an age and the ISDD unit is looming. I’ve looked in to c9.io but the school objects to anything that requires a monthly subscription (I would just get the pupils to set up free accounts but that apparently still needs a credit card).

Does anyone know of any free and easy to manage cloud platforms that work for the AH that I can use if I can’t get easyPHP?

How many kids have you got? A LAMP server could be easily run on stand alone machines, numbers dependent of course.

Have you tried XAMPP?

It has a portable version that they can drag to documents to launch.

I’m really liking cloud9, an online IDE which supports lots of different configs and languages.

I’ve used it so far as development environment for a project using javascript/jquery and a python project.

It’s very easy to spool up a virtual LAMP server on it, too.

You can also set up a teacher account which allows you to create and manage accounts for your students.
