Astro Pi 2025–26: 10 years on, registration now open

The Astro Pi programme turns abstract CS outcomes into something tangible: code in orbit. With registration open for 2025–26, now’s the moment to pencil Mission Zero into S1/2 programming units and offer Mission Space Lab as an enrichment track for seniors. The brief is authentic, time‑boxed and motivating—exactly what we want when we talk about purposeful learning.

  • Curricular fit: variables, control structures and input/output for BGE; testing, data collection and evaluation for senior phase.
  • Equity: Mission Zero is deliberately low‑barrier—no prior experience needed and feedback from the ISS is a huge motivator.
